Lisser Moi Cosmetics *Product Review*

Lisser Moi Cosmetics very kindly donated a little bag of creams to the winners package for Miss British Beauty Curve.
So I gave them a little whirl and I thought I would do a little review for you of the products I have tried out.

Included in the bag;
  • Full size bottle (250ml) of Grapefruit, Vanilla & Argan Oil Hand & Body Cream
  • Travel size bottle of Lemon Verbena & Rosehip Hand & Body Cream
  • Travel size bottle of Ylang Ylang, Orange & Macadamia Nut Hand & Body Cream
  • Lisser Moi mini crystal nail file.

All of these products are rich but once applied to the skin they don't feel heavy or leave a lot of residue.  They do keep the skin feeling refreshed and hydrated giving it a lovely glow.

The creams absorb into the skin well and are infused with gorgeous scents which are not hugely overpowering but the smell does linger on the skin which is a plus point to me. Too often you apply a cream and it smells divine when applied but then the scent is lost very quickly.  This isn't the case with these creams, sometimes the scent was apparent up to a few hours after application.
I first tried them in August and still have quite a bit left in the full size bottle even with repeated uses, although I haven't used it daily or for full body coverage either.

A little goes a long long way with these products, a small pump of the cream is more than enough to moisturise both hands.

My favourite out of the 3 products is the Grapefruit, Vanilla & Argan Oil Hand & Body Cream  I adore the smell.

You can buy all three full size products from Lisser Moi's website; >>Shop Lisser Moi<<

A full size bottle is £21.99

The crystal nail file is really handy to keep in your handbag!

Don't forget to connect with Lisser Moi & let them know what you think of their products

Yes, there are 3 sections; casual wear, beachwear and evening wear. You'll need a different outfit for each round.

What does the application process consist of?
After applying you will be required to attend an interview with the judges where the finalists will be asked to attend contestant Boot camp; including photo shoots, media and catwalk training and confidence building exercises.  Plus at Boot camp you will forge lasting new friendships and make fantastic memories.

Last years' boot camp featured mentoring by plus size models; Sian Yapp & Cathryn Vallance along with the members of the team Emily Galvin, Ellis Guy, Christopher Wheatley & Kelly Arnold.  The catwalk training was given by world renowned plus size model; Sabine Gruchet and the weekend included motivational talks given by Mark Singh & international model; Bishamber Das. Media training by Linda Koch & Melanie Jarvis.  Amanda Attwood was in charge of catering and made sure that everyone was fed and watered with the help of Annaleigh Koch and Sara Avery.

There were many fun activities including a mini talent show, "The XL Factor." The winner; Jo Frost was given the opportunity to perform at The British Plus Size Awards 2015. Kim Ryan was chosen out of all the contestants to be crowned "Miss Boot Camp 2015" after dressing as Wonder Woman.

I asked some of the previous contestants about their experiences at contestant Boot camp. Here's what they had to say;

Kim said "The experience was amazing fun, I came away empowered about what we all wanted to achieve, met very inspiring women and I won miss boot camp!! Would do it all over again and again."

Nadine said, "It was a great experience, as it allowed me to meet everyone else that was apart of the pageant. Being in a room full of plus size, happy and confident women for the first time is something that cannot be described, as it's just... amazing. I would do it again, if I had the opportunity do. It's a great weekend, with a group of lovely women, and the catwalk training was also something that was very beneficial."

Helen said, "Was a amazing experience meeting so many woman that were in the comp for all different reasons , all helping and supporting each other , and now it's over I miss them all!"
Elizabeth said, "I had an amazing time at boot camp meeting all the other girls, the judges and the guys presenting the classes. I learnt loads when it comes to confidence and strutting what my momma gave me on the cat walk. It's great opportunity to get to know the other contestants and made some great friends for life from it. Defo a must do if given the opportunity again I'd do it tomorrow."

Sophie said, "I absolutely loved bootcamp such a fab experience and all within the grounds of luxury. I embraced all the tutorials we had, and loved every moment. I took part in everything and even had chance for a cheeky outdoor swim in the heated pool. I'd love to get invited back this year to mentor the new participants and help let it fulfil their dreams"

Pretty Lingerie sets from Primark

Primark have really stepped up their game with regards to catering for larger cup sizes recently. Since the introduction of their D-F cup range I have seen the line evolve.  It started with drab everyday wear bras that you wouldn't really want to wear and fit was completely off. Now they are offering a wider range of bra & knicker sets in an array of gorgeous styles and colours and it is far more appealing to the eye.

Now I'm not saying the fit is perfect, it's not by any stretch and they would do well to invest a little more time into improving the cut of these bras but it's positive that they have started to incorporate aesthetically pleasing designs for the well endowed ladies.

Here's my newest addition;

Now this bra is a 38F and it came in a pack of 2 bras for £9.00, The knicker set is a size XL which is an 18/20, again this came in a pack of two for £4.00.  I haven't worn the all pink set just yet but they are the same style.

Overall Summary: Both sets are a lovely style and perfect for everyday wear and also in the bedroom.
Rating: 6/10

Potential improvements: The cut of the bra is not perfect, it's not the best fit but it's adequate for the price. Why stop at a 38? Why stop at a F cup...bigger sizes all round I say!
Would I recommend this? Yes purely on value for money for everyday wear.
