Summer is Coming...A Quiz Clothing Collaboration

I teamed up with Quiz Clothing to bring you a selection of my favourite picks from their most recent summer collection.

I chose five items which in my opinion cover all bases!

A simple navy jumpsuit that can be dressed up for anything from dinner and cocktails to a day at the races, but versatile enough to be worn casually with converse.

A floral dress which screams summer vibes, perfect for day to night events. You can throw on some simple sandals and rock it casually or team it with strappy heels for going out out!

A bold orange number which brings all the heat of summer to a dreary English spring day.  This would be perfect for a night out teamed with some statement heels and a cute clutch.

A delightful white and navy striped dress which is so simple yet classy. This dress could be worn casually or more dressed up too, just right for a weekend outing.

A gorgeous floral maxi which would be perfect for a summer BBQ or even on holiday with some cute sandals but could be dressed up for a Spring wedding.

Sizing wise all these items are available from a size 8 to an 18.  I chose the 18 for all five items and I to offer a little perspective, I am 5ft 4" with a 38GG/36H bust. I usually wear anything from an 18-20 depending on fit and style and in my opinion all of these run true to size.  I believe these items would fit someone who is a smaller end 20 but if you are more of a 20/22, then depending on how comfortable you are with fitted clothing you may want to go for a similar alternative from the curve range but every body shape is different, so I suggest trying these bits on making a call based on how YOU FEEL in them.  Sizes are just a number and you are not defined by a label size, so throw away all your inhibitions and wear what you love and you feel comfortable in.

Side note - I chose to wear a corset for these photos, simply because I am lacking a decent strapless bra and for 3 out of five of these outfits a strapless bra is a must. I didn't need to wear a corset at all, but sometimes I like to be snatched when other times I don't fancy being all trussed up (personal preference) I have a few pics of what two of these outfits look like without any shape wear and wearing regular lingerie and have whacked them in for a little comparison.

If you weren't aware Quiz also have a designated Curve range and I have chosen my favourite picks from the range too...

The Curve Collection ranges from a size 16 to a 26 and includes dresses, jumpsuits, trousers, jackets and many other plus size tops.

I'm sure that whatever your size and occasion Quiz Clothing have something for you.

#Activewear365 - Curvissa Haul, Try-On, Review & Look-Book

The next instalment in my #Activewear365 social media series is here.
This series is designed to showcase brands that offer activewear/loungewear or casual items for people of varying sizes, 365 days a year and not just in line with the January fitness hype.  Comfort is a daily necessity in my opinion, so when I look for clothing to chill in, work out in and casual bits to wear on a day to day basis I need reliable brands that offer garments that fit well, are durable, flexible, versatile and most importantly on trend.

I have hand-selected brands which I believe to be the front runners in this field.
Today we are talking about Curvissa

I was very kindly gifted a handful of items, which I have tried on for you guys in my haul video over on my YouTube, why don't you take a little watch?

After wearing and washing these items I like to give you guys the lo-down on how they fare in real life.
First impressions on fit

The two tops were perfectly sized and both really comfy.  The two pairs of Lascana leggings were a little on the loose side whilst the KangaROOS leggings fit like a second skin.  Everything fit on first try as you will  see from the haul vid and look-book.  I am 5ft 4" and all the leggings reached my ankles with lots of excess material at the end so these will be good for folks up to about 5ft 7/8".  Anything above that height and I reckon they will be more of a cropped style.

How did the items wash?

No loss of structure, size, fit, colour or quality after washing several times. No colour runs however I did wash all the items in relevant colour bundles just in case.

Any unique features or quirky perks with any of the items?

The Navy & Red Lascana leggings had a zipper pocket big enough for a gym key
The KangaROOS sweatshirt had thumbholes! This made my day! Pretty sure there is no functional use to this but I love this feature! Saves me making holes in it myself!
The mesh panel on the black Lascana leggings is quite cool design-wise but also functional for keeping cool when working out.

Any downfalls?

All the leggings could do with being a little less see-through, but I think this is general leggings flaw.  The all survived a squat test and they are all suitable for exercise without fear of rolling down.
The downfall I have with the Lascana leggings is not a product flaw but more to do with the fact that I could have sized down which I think would have prevented any slack in the front.

Recommendations on Sizing

I am a 5ft 4" size 18/20 chick with a size 38GG/36H rack. I have quite a short body my legs are quite short too!  All round I'm just short!   Body shape wise I would be considered a full hourglass figure as I have a relatively small boob to waist to hip ratio.
I ordered the KangaROOS leggings in a size 18 and I would say these are true to size
The two pairs of leggings from Lascana I ordered in an 18/20 and I would say these are quite generously sized. I could have sized down to the 14/16 comfortably.
The sweatshirt was a size 18/20 and I like the slightly looser fit with my sweatshirts so I say this runs true to size however if you have a larger mid range or tummy perhaps size up on this one.
The Adidas vest was an XL and this fit perfectly - on my size 18/20 frame but it is quite figure hugging around the tummy if you pull it down straight, so if tummy is a conscious point for you consider sizing up.
