Pink Infusion

There was a time in my life that pink was my go to colour, I lived and breathed all things pink and to some extent I guess I still do love me some pink shiz now and then! To me a dash of pink is my girly outburst, now I know I’m not exactly a tom boy, but I live in sweats and vest tops most days and when it’s time to dress up I love to really enhance my femininity.

Yours Clothing wanted us to “Think Pink” so instead of just layering a tonne of varying shades of pink into one mish-mash outfit, I decided to use one statement pink piece and then let the rest of the items that made up my ensemble be infused with pink tones.

The duster was my statement piece – I ordered a size 22/24. I like to wear my dusters a little oversized as you tend to have layers underneath.  The crepe material was lovely and light weight and I can see me using this quite a lot over the next few months as a light jacket in this gorgeous warm weather.

I layered the duster over this vibrant bardot style top.  I ordered this in a size 18, this is quite a heavy material in comparison to the jacket but it’s still breathable and stretchy.  I did the right thing by sizing down to the 18 here as this top runs quite generously size wise.

I wore a pair of bleach wash skinnies which I have reviewed in my last post which I will link below >>

I accessorised the outfit with a pink clutch and a pair of sunnies (alternative)

I also wore a pair of blush coloured “barely there” heels which weren’t from Yours but they do sell a similar pair in white which are currently on sale (Alternative)

This outfit was perfect for my impromptu date day in Manchester, I kicked off the heels and tucked in the sleeves of the bardot top to make it into a boob tube (cos didn’t want the funky tan lines) and laid out on the grass of Piccadilly Gardens soaking up the sun and eating a picnic. It was absolute bliss.

Yours are inundated with gorgeous pink hues at the moment, here are a few of my faves;

If you’re feeling the pink vibes too – show me what your fave pink picks are…
